The entire team at Multihull Solutions would like to wish you all a wonderful Christmas and New Year. It has been an amazing 2009 for us, going from strength to strength despite a difficult economic climate.
Now representing many of the world’s best multihull brands including Fountaine Pajot, Trawler, Catana, Sunreef Yachts, Dolphin Catamarans and NEEL Trimarans, Multihull Solutions has defied the industry downturn to take an outstanding 23 orders on new boats in 2009 worth over AUD$16m, as well as selling a large number of pre-owned multihulls from our quality brokerage division.
Our Services division has also enjoyed great reception from current owners of multihulls from all over the world, all taking advantage of our deliveries, boat management, commissioning, repairs and insurance/finance services.
In response to this fantastic result, we have doubled the size of our head office in Mooloolaba on Queensland’s Sunshine Coast, consolidated our dealer network and are currently expanding our Commissioning and Support team to ensure we maintain our high standard of post-sales service.

2009 Multihull Rendezvous Review

I had read reports on the Rendezvous and when planning an extended cruise to the Whitsundays, I thought it would be fun to enter my Fountaine Pajot Mahe 36 “Reflexion” in the Cruising Division. A chat with a Pittwater cruising skipper who had entered last year and ‘had a ball’ confirmed it for me.
Registration day arrived and I fronted up to collect my sailing instructions. The guys at the Abel Point Yacht Club were very friendly and welcoming and the beer and snacks free! At this stage I read the instructions and, confronted with all of the detail that goes with a race, the nerves kicked in. Should I rustle up a “real sailor” in the pub? Should I back out while the going was good?
