Sunreef Yachts employs state-of-the-art technology for the unique aluminum or composite construction of their sail and powder, catamarans ranging in size from 60-150+ feet.
The company continuously monitors developments in industry technology, to ensure it only uses the very best of high tech gear available, while introducing new practical solutions. Because Sunreef Yachts is a young company, it is evolving constantly in all aspects, aiming constantly to introduce even higher standards than have ever been seen before.
In 2007 Sunreef introduced Vacuum Infusion technology. This is a new technology that adds strength, while resulting in lighter boats, achieving weight stability curves with improved weight saving ratios that still maintain the finest quality.
Infusion allows the company to reduce building waste, thus adding a considerable cost saving. On top of it all, it is a much more environmentally friendly process!
As for the resin choice, Sunreef Yachts is one of the few shipyards in the world building semi-custom yachts using epoxy resin systems and high performance fibreglass products coupled with carbon reinforcement in high load areas.
For fully customised yachts, a client’s option includes a structure engineered entirely in carbon fibre and epoxy resin.
The continuous improvement in Sunreef Yachts’ building technology allows them to become a greater, more powerful and reliable company. The shipyard is also now able to increase the annual yacht production output, and in doing so, satisfy the fast growing demand.
