Well known power boat designer John Haines crafted this Haines Signature 4000 – JAS, for his own retirement and boating pleasure on the Gold Coast, Whitsundays and Queensland coastal waters.
JAS has good looks, fuel economy and cruising speeds of 15 to 20 knots under ideal conditions.
The mainstays behind the designers’ own brief makes this one an ideal family fly-bridge cruiser.
She offers twin 260HP Volvo engines with shaft driven, four-blade propellers using as little as 2 litres per hour at 5.6 knots and cruising at 12 knots using a very low 25 litres per hour.
Constructed of standard GRP with foam sandwich JAS offers a generous interior with comfortable seating for seven around the saloon dining table. The owners’ version layout comprises of 2 x queen cabins and one cabin with 2 singles. JAS can comfortably accommodate an extra 3 guests on the drop-down saloon and fly-bridge.
With a 4 KVA Onan generator, air conditioning and 360 views from the galley, JAS is an ideal cruising power cat.
