Tigger 3 is a 1999 – Rodgers North Reef 10.5 – a comfortable, cost effective and well -appointed catamaran with ample accommodation, spacious saloon and dining area with good standing headroom and 360-degree vision.
Easy to operate and sail shorthanded, this superbly maintained boat offers strong performance and is very low cost to maintain and store. One big advantage of this vessel is that she is able to fit into most monohull berths, making weekends away much more cost effective than the average catamaran.
A practical layout with two double cabins, one single cabin and one head. The saloon table can convert to a king bed when required. She is well ventilated with fans and all hatches with mosquito screens as well as air conditioning for those humid days in port. The saloon has a clear removable partition to rear deck/cockpit which makes for very social cruising.
This Rodgers North Reef 10.5 has been configured to facilitate longer voyages with ample storage, refrigeration, hot water and battery power. She has all necessary safety gear one would need for coastal cruising with dual depth transducers (one per hull), water speed indicator and AIS with Wi-Fi to link to laptop or tablet. In addition, she has seven sealed compartments per hull.
Due to her light weight and buoyant hulls, Tigger 3 sails better than her size would suggest – easily achieving above 10 knots with a best of 17.5knts on an even sea. The single daggerboard reduces weight and is more than ample when sailing beam-on. The low draught and long mini-keels on each hull make for easy passage through shallows, as well as the convenience to sit on the bottom or out of water and snug anchoring.
The outboard motor makes for good fuel economy and very easy manoeuvring and has electric tilt to be tucked away under sail.
Tigger 3 offers a mix of performance, comfort, ease of handling and low ownership and berthing costs. Our team know the boat and the builder and can answer any questions you may have regarding this vessel. Please contact us for an inspection or more information.
