2006 WOODS WIZZER | Grey Goose

Grey Goose is an open bridgedeck Woods Wizzer 29ft sailing catamaran built by Maslen Boat Builders of Brisbane in 2006 and relaunched in 2019 after many years in storage.

Grey Goose is constructed with cedar / West System and a foam core epoxy decking, making her a light but very solid cat to sail. Dagger boards and lift rudders allow her to sit on her bottom, getting close in around the anchorages. A handy bow thruster unit makes her a breeze to park and manoeuvre.

She is a two-cabin catamaran and very easy to sail and maintain with simple systems and a low-hour Yamaha 25hp outboard, making her very economical to drive.

The port side hull is set up with a basic galley comprising cooker, sink and Wayco refrigerator. The boat’s water supply is also contained here in the bow, and aft is an area that could be used as a small berth and currently houses the porta-loo.

The starboard side hull features two large single berths for overnight accommodation.

The bridgedeck area is spacious with full head height, and there is room for the whole family with full cover and shade enclosures for comfort in all conditions. The fixed dining table doubles as the helm station and navigation area with good seating and room to move about.

There is easy access to the trampolines forward from the bridgedeck area where you can attend to the headsail, self-tacking staysail, mainsail, anchor and halyard winches.

Grey Goose’s owner has spared no expense in renewing this sweet catamaran, creating the perfect platform for family day sailing or extended coastal exploration trips away.
