Schionning Wilderness 1620x (1700x) | ROAM II
Professionally built for cruising the world in comfort and speed, ROAM II perfectly balances strength, reliability, practicality and performance in a package that can only be described as stunning.
ROAM II was professionally built in 2007/2008 and fitted out to the highest standards. Taken over by her current owner in 2019, ROAMII was professionally and extensively refitted in 2020/2021 with works including:
- remodelling cabins
- remodelling the cockpit area
- new dual helm steering
- full repaint of the boat (topsides and bottom as well as interior)
- new bows
- new rudders, rudder shafts and prop shafts
- engines removed, stripped and overhauled
- rig unstepped and detailed check undertaken
- standing rigging surveyed
- much of the running rigging replaced, all blocks taken off and fully serviced, and all winches pulled and fully serviced
- new Victron inverter
- new Lithium batteries
- solar system upgraded
- new Genset
- new dinghy
- full B&G system installed.
ROAM II presents in near-new condition and retains the functional interior that allows you to see all the key structural elements of the boat.
The catamaran can comfortably accommodate nine in five cabins (2 x king-size cabins; 1 x queen-size cabin, 1 x double-bunk cabin, 1 x single-bunk cabin). There is a very generous galley, saloon and nav station and you can enjoy alfresco dining in the large, protected cockpit.
The yacht comprises a full suite of sails, including: 2020 Hydronet main and jib, 2022 Norths staysail, Doyle A2 spinnaker, Doyle Code 0 and Doyle Storm jib. The boat can set three sails forward (Code 0, jib and staysail) for light-wind reaching, while the square-top main is set on a traveler and single main sheet.
Under power, the boat’s most economical cruising speed is seven knots (using around three lts per hour per engine) with a max speed of 9.5 knots. ROAMII has regularly achieved over 20 knots under sail when racing, but seven to mid-teens is more common with the boat snugged down for comfortable cruising.
ROAM II was hauled out in September 2022 for new bottom paint and check of all shafts, seals and through hull fittings.
She is currently lying in the Philippines and transport can be arranged to any port in the world. Visit the Multihull Solutions website for full inventory and further details, and contact the team to arrange an inspection.
