Here’s 13 places you will visit along the way:

• Kusadasi – where you can visit the ancient city of Ephesus and the town of Selcuk
• Samos – with its rugged beauty, excellent restaurants and Samian wine
• Arki – with a population of 40 people and 200 goats, which produces the best fetta in Greece
• Patmos – with its 11th Century monastary as the spiritual headquarters of the Greek Orthodox Church
• Kalymnos – specifically the tiny port of Vathi where only the goats can climb the precipitous entrance
• Pserimos – offering fantastic views of the Turkish Coast
• Bodrum – a spectacular Crusader castle stands sentinal over the harbour
• Palamut – experience a memorable evening of food and music in this tiny Turkish seaside resort
• Datca – Busy on the waterfront but interesting in the old town inland where you can barter with a carpet seller
• Dirsek – the Turkish word for ‘elbow’ and also the shape of the bay with its single restaurant
• Sogut – just one restaurant with its own quay
• Bozuk Kale – ‘Castle Bay’ in English, is overlooked by an ancient Greek fortification
• Marmaris – the terminus for the rally where you can visit Bar Street if you have ear plugs
