On the 6th of December 2014 the crowds on Mooloolaba beach were amazed to see hundreds of surf skis paddling out alongside a Fountaine Pajot Helia 44 catamaran with Rod Taylor, champion lifesaver and Mooloolaba local leading the pack.
The ceremony was held on the pristine water in front of the Mooloolaba lifesaving tower, and included many great lifesavers from the club. Cheers were heard as the beautiful bride, Sally, complete in her white wedding gown, paddled into join the crowd and her groom on their surf skis.
1 Giant Leap, the Fountaine Pajot Helia 44, was kindly donated by owners Tim & Sandy Armstrong for the celebrant to marry the couple from the back deck, overlooking the two in the water. Thank you Tim & Sandy, your generosity with your time and yacht made the day even more perfect.
