After officially expanding our operations to southeast Asia in early 2014, Multihull Solutions has enjoyed a strong start with wonderful support from the region’s marine market.
Our office in Phuket’s Boat Lagoon has been extremely busy responding to enquiries for new and pre-owned multihulls, as well as following up on interest from the Phuket Boat Show early in the year.
The Boat Show was a fabulous launch event for the company and a superb way for our team to meet so many local multihull enthusiasts. We sold a Summerland 40 Long Range by Fountaine Pajot Motor Yachts on the very first day of the event, and the response from the show’s visitors, locals, media and industry representatives could not have been more positive.
Since then Andrew de Bruin, general manager of Multihull Solutions Asia, has been busy listing pre-owned boats, selling new boats and following up many new boat orders.
The Phuket office is sparkling after the completion of works, and it was officially blessed by three local Buddhist monks in early March in keeping with the traditional Thai ceremony that brings good luck to new business premises.
Andrew has been competently supported by our new administration officer Yui Anongnat, who has proven invaluable in the Phuket office with her fluency in Thai and English, extensive marine knowledge, accounting and office management experience, and outstanding client services skills.
We are also excited to have secured major sponsorship and naming rights of the region’s premier multihull regatta in July, run by Ao Chalong Yacht Club. The 2014 Multihull Solutions ACYC Multihull Regatta is expected to be the biggest in the event’s history, with fierce competition and unforgettable social action. The regatta is open to all multihull owners with charter catamarans also available for entry, and is a sensational way to meet the Multihull Solutions team and enjoy an unforgettable week of racing and fun.
As Asia is one of the world’s most spectacular and affordable cruising grounds, we are also experiencing strong demand from owners throughout the Asia Pacific to help import and commission their new boats in Thailand so they can start their cruising dreams in paradise.
The multihull market still has huge room for growth in Asia, and there is also a rapidly growing yacht charter industry with an increasing demand for multihulls, which presents exciting opportunities for those seeking to purchase a multihull for investment purposes.
The upcoming 2014 Singapore Yacht Show from 10-13 April is also expected to be a busy time for our team as we prepare to showcase the Summerland 40 Long Range and the stunning Queensland 55 power catamarans by Fountaine Pajot Motor Yachts. The remarkable Sunreef 70 Power will also be on display at the show, and we anticipate these three models will generate solid interest from buyers of all segments of the market. We’ll have a huge team presence at the show, and looking forward to meeting many of you there.
As the exclusive distributor of Fountaine Pajot and Catana Catamarans in southeast Asia, Multihull Solutions also represents Sunreef Yachts, TAG Yachts, NEEL Trimarans and Privilège Catamarans in the region, making us the first place to go for unbiased advice and choice on the world’s premier new multihull brands.
Our comprehensive brokerage division is also the largest in the Asia Pacific, and our Asian team works closely with the Australian and New Zealand teams to ensure new and existing clients are comprehensively serviced throughout the entire Australasian region. So if you are looking to sell your multihull, you can’t go past our extensive database of qualified buyers, successful regional marketing campaigns and proven sales record!
Multihull Solutions is very excited about this new stage in our company’s growth and look forward to introducing more cruisers in the Asian market to the benefits of multihulls.
