Multihull Solutions is looking to follow up on its record-breaking success at last year’s Sydney International Boat Show when it showcases two of the world’s finest catamarans at the 2018 event from 2-6 August.
This year, the company will stage the exclusive southern hemisphere launch of the Fountaine Pajot Astréa 42 sailing catamaran, which was recently awarded ‘Multihull of the Year’ in France, as well as the MY 44 by Fountaine Pajot Motor Yachts, which was awarded the title of ‘2018 European Power Boat of the Year’.
The Astréa 42 has burst onto the world stage since its April launch at the Grand La Motte boat show in France earning critical acclaim by industry professionals and setting new sales records. Multihull Solutions has already taken more than ten orders for the Astréa 42 and expects to receive strong interest from visitors at the Sydney International Boat Show.
Multihull Solutions managing director Mark Elkington said the new Astréa 42 has an exceptional design that emphasises liveability at sea while also delivering outstanding performance underway.
“The catamaran’s contemporary design, high quality fixtures and impressive performance at sea combine to present exceptional value when compared to other catamarans in its class,” Mark said.
The Astréa 42 was conceived and designed to facilitate free-flowing 
movement throughout the boat, as well as linking the helm station with the outdoor relaxation and living spaces from coachroof to cockpit.
The coachroof features a double seat at the helmstation and a built-in sun lounger, while the spacious cockpit, equipped with an optional integrated plancha grill, is the perfect place to relax and also offers a Beach Club option featuring an embedded gangway.
The catamaran is available in two versions – Owner and Quatuor – with 12 bathroom layout options, making it ideal for private or commercial use.
Multihull Solutions is also expecting continued strong interest in the powerful MY 44 by Fountaine Pajot Motor Yachts at the boat show. The MY 44 has garnered worldwide attention since its launch due to its remarkable capacity (1,000nm on one tank of fuel), stunning design, expansive flybridge and numerous entertaining areas including foredeck lounge.
Created by internationally renowned naval architects and designers Daniel Andreiu and Pierangelo Andreani, the MY 44 features an unprecedented amount of living space, including a 20m2 saloon, 12m2 flybridge, and a decadent 15m2 master suite. The model has been fitted with sleek panoramic windows throughout the catamaran, granting spectacular 360-degree views and beautiful levels of natural light.
Featuring dynamic and sporty lines, the MY 44 has semi-displacement hulls built specifically to deliver outstanding performance, fuel efficiency, and stability in all sea conditions. With 2000-litre fuel tanks and 700-litre water tanks, the catamaran is ideal for long-range cruising and can achieve top speeds of 30 knots with its optional IPS600 435HP engines.
Multihull Solutions will also have a dedicated Pre-Owned Brokerage display on its stand for buyers interested in quality used catamarans and trimarans. Representatives of NEEL Trimarans will also be at the event to answer all queries about these world-leading cruising trimarans.
