Orders for Fountaine Pajot’s newest sail and power catamarans show no sign of slowing down after Multihull Solutions recorded one of its most successful Sydney Boat Shows in history.
During the July boat show, Multihull Solutions sold six of the new Fountaine Pajot 40 sailing catamarans, and three of the new MY37 power catamarans by Fountaine Pajot Motor Yachts. With additional orders being finalised and the sales team fielding an ocean of enquiries, the new Fountaine Pajot 40 and MY37 look set to become the shipyard’s most popular models ever.
Multihull Solutions managing director Mark Elkington said the immediate success of the two new models was not surprising.
“When Fountaine Pajot revealed their plans for the new 40 sailing model and the MY37, we knew they had created two boats that were entirely responsive to what the cruising market has been waiting for,” Mark said.
“The features, performance, construction quality and value for money provided by both models put them far ahead of any comparable sail or power catamaran in their class, and the public has quickly recognised this,” he said.
Fountaine Pajot continues to lead the world cruising catamaran market with its ongoing development and substantial investment in research and development, resulting in new models that deliver outstanding performance, safety and comfort with impeccable construction quality.
Replacing the enormously successful Lipari 41, the design of the new Fountaine Pajot 40 has drawn inspiration from the shipyard’s famous Helia 44 and Saba 50, offering superb luminosity and a spacious cockpit that comfortably accommodates eight people at its dining table.
The catamaran’s sleek lines are complemented by its stylish interior design that incorporates premium quality fixtures and finishes. The interior is beautifully light courtesy of large panoramic portholes and excellent ventilation.
There is a generous choice of exterior relaxation areas and the spacious cockpit has been designed for easy entertaining at sea. Additional features include opening hatches in the sides of the hulls for each cabin, flush deck hatches, an optional foredeck lounge, long settee at aft of the cockpit area, a new fitted trampoline which fits right to the edges leaving no surrounding gaps, and a separate shower and head for the luxurious owner’s suite.
Priced from AUD$600,000, the Fountaine Pajot 40 delivers on the shipyard’s reputation for exceptional performance across its range, and early sea trials have confirmed the catamaran’s outstanding handling, stability and comfort in even the most challenging conditions. Available in two versions, the new Fountaine Pajot 40 is expected to appeal to both private and commercial clients and is now available for order throughout the Asia Pacific.
The new MY37 is revolutionising the entry-level segment of the world’s power catamaran market with its impressive features, performance and value for money.
The Fountaine Pajot Motor Yachts team has meticulously designed a spectacular multihull that is lauded for its superior comfort, outstanding views and beautiful luminosity. Starting from AUD$670,000, the MY37 also possesses the key attributes of the shipyard’s range, including excellent offshore performance, stability, volume, and impressive range that make the boat extremely economical.
Unlike most power catamarans of its size, the MY37 is available in a three and a four-cabin layout making it ideal for both personal cruising use and commercial charter companies. The model is now available for inspection in Sydney through Multihull Solutions.
Despite the overwhelming success of these two new model launches, Fountaine Pajot has not taken time to rest but has instead invested in upgrades to one of its most popular sailing catamarans, the Helia 44.
As part of a $30M investment by the company in new models over the next two years, Fountaine Pajot has just announced the impending launch of the new Helia 44 Evolution, which has features integrated from the new Fountaine Pajot 40.
Starting from AUD$860,000, the Helia 44 Evolution will enjoy a sleek, revamped interior with redesigned portholes for enhanced natural light and newly recessed mast to create brilliant panoramic views from the saloon and galley.
The luxurious Owner’s Suite incorporates an upgraded ensuite with expansive shower, separate toilet, generous storage and wardrobe space, along with a convenient laundry for extended cruising.
Additional sun lounges in the cockpit ensure relaxing while onboard is guaranteed, and the upgraded stainless steel davits provide even greater strength and durability.
