The company is to build an 82ft double-deck sailing catamaran for a European client.
Poland’s Sunreef Yachts has signed an order for a 25m (82ft) double-deck sailing catamaran for a European client. The order follows the 2010 launch of two new mega-catamarans of over 100ft each, including Sunreef’s first-ever double deck catamaran IPHARRA.
“This sale was concluded thanks to Sunreef’s well-proven capability to build large custom yachts for demanding owners and according to the highest construction standards,” says Sunreef CEO Francis Lapp.
“The last few years of simultaneous construction of the two mega-catamarans have given us invaluable experience that we will strive to improve with the Sunreef 82, our first superyacht built of composite materials.”
The Sunreef 82 DD features sleek hulls and a streamlined deckhouse topped with a giant 35sq m flybridge inspired by large superyachts. The yacht can accommodate up to seven guests and is scheduled for launch in June 2012. It is designed for private use in the Caribbean and the US.
