Here is a snippet of Midi’s latest adventures:
The next day it was off to Olympia, the site of the first Olympics. Amazing. This site is huge and although Bruce took dozens of photos, we will only bore you with a couple.
It was hard to imagine people competing there and one would hope that they did not compete in the month of July. It was soooooooo hot just walking around, we could not imagine running a mile or throwing a shotput in the oppressive heat. We were so pleased to go to the archaeological museum to look at the statues and other relics, as it was air conditioned.
The stadium where they ran their races, held 45,000 people, just on grass embankments with a small area of seating for the judges and dignitaries.
