Fountaine Pajot Orana 44 “Midi” – Midi’s Meanderings Part Two

Kalimera, kalimera

Bye bye Marmaris - Greece here we come!

Yes we are back in the Greek Islands. After doing a huge shop in Marmaris and saying goodbye to new and old friends, plus our feline friend Patch, we headed off, visiting a couple of anchorages on our way to Bozburun, where we checked out of Turkey, after having one last visit to the fruit and veg market to get our greens.

It always takes a little while to get back in to the sailing/boating routine and there are a few terse words spoken as I slot back in to my first mate position. “What do you mean, how much anchor chain is out – I have been looking at the view – not the anchor chain!” Who forgot to close that little hatch down below which meant we got water in the vegie storage area and consequently in the bilge? “You still love me, don’tcha Captain? Captain?” Hmm – nothing heard.

Our first port of call in the Greek Islands was on the island of Symi and we anchored in a little bay called Pedhi, caught the bus over to the main town to do our check in procedures which was very painless.
