Aug 27, 2008 By Jeremy McGeary Jeremy McGeary reviews this catamaran with a few twists for the CW 2009 Sailboat Show. Corsair Marine, storied builder of folding trimarans, is expanding into catamarans and venturing into new propulsion. The Corsair 50 is powered by Glacier Bay’s Ossa Powerlite 240Vdc diesel-electric system. (Twin 53-hp Yanmars are offered as an alternative). On deck, too, the Corsair 50 follows a less trodden path with twin helm stations aft of the outboard ends of the deckhouse bulkhead, elevated for a clear view forward but sheltered under the rigid cockpit shade. Forward and between them, and so within conversation range is a lounge/dining area. To read complete story – click here for Corsair 50 Mini Review on Cruising World website
