Summerland 40 LR Review – Crowd Pleaser

When Peter and Deborah Jackson went to the America’s Cup in Valencia, Spain they enjoyed more than the racing. The start boats, Fouuntaine Pajot Cumberland 47 caught their eye. The Marlborough couple had grown out of their Seamaster 10 m. Looking for more volume and stability they visited last year’s Sanctuary Cove Boat Show in Australia and viewed the French built Summerland 40 LR, semi-displacement power cat, also from the Fountaine Pajot stable. Later they were onboard a Summerland 40 as it crossed a bar on the Gold Coast seaway. In the aftermath of a storm the bar was good testing ground and the experience reassured them of the vessels seaworthiness. Quick Links:
