David Jamieson, Fiji Agent
David first took to the water at the age of 10 racing dinghies and cruising on the family yacht. His professional career at sea began at age 18 and has spanned 20 years. Gaining a Masterclass 4 and Ocean Yachtmaster qualifications, David has skippered a wide variety of vessels, including square riggers, schooners, charter yachts, dive boats, cargo ships, tug boats, rig tenders, racing yachts and super yachts, which has given him extensive insight into all aspects of the maritime world. He has lived in Phuket for two years operating his own yacht agency business before buying Yacht Help in Fiji where he has lived ever since.
David has grown Yacht Help from a repair and maintenance operation into a Fiji-wide superyacht agency, brokerage and marine store. It is also a national Volvo agent and Yamaha service centre, and now employs over 30 staff. It is set to open a new branch in Nawi Island in Fiji, and David shares his wealth of knowledge with Multihull Solutions cruising clients in the region.
