Posted: 22nd April 2014.

Michael (Nod) Crook and Patrick Gilot from Multihull Solutions have arrived in La Rochelle, France to assist in the handing over of five new Fountaine Pajot’s this month.

First of the rank is Jeff and Sandra O’Connor who have sold their house in Torquay, Victoria to complete their retirement dream that Jeff has been planning for 10 years. Jeff has been making the pilgrimage to the Sanctuary Cove Boat Show with his friends and four sons for the past 10 years waiting for the right time to purchase his Helia 44. He was extremely excited to order his dream boat at last years show Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show.

They plan live aboard their new Fountaine Pajot Helia 44 and stay in Europe for the first two seasons. Jeff and Sandra are doing some sail training in La Rochelle to get them comfortable and familiar with their new boat prior to leaving. When they depart La Rochelle they are looking at taking a paid crew member to assist them with the first trip across the Bay of Biscay before setting of on their own adventure. Exciting times for them and we wish them well!
