Song lines, an Ocean Cat 48.8, was first launched in December 2005 in South Carolina, USA. She presents beautifully with the typically ‘Larouge’ moulded cross beam and catwalk in the bows and high aft cross beam with extended sterns for increased buoyancy and hull speed.
The boat is easily managed by shorthanded crew with all halyards, sheets and reef lines fed into the safety of the completely enclosed cockpit. Song lines has experienced many 200+ nm days while cruising more than 20,000 nm. She has sailed from the east coast of the USA, the Caribbean Sea and Panama Canal stopping at many island nations across the Pacific Ocean, including Fiji, New Caledonia and a circumnavigation of New Zealand.
